Graduation
Commencement is a formal, academic ritual that merits the highest dignity and respect. Each senior will receive 7 general admission tickets. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Students will receive tickets in graduation rooms on June 9, 2026, after rehearsal. Students are required to attend commencement rehearsal. Failure to attend rehearsal will result in student unable to walk in commencement ceremony. Signatures from all students will be required at that time, confirming receipt of tickets.
We encourage students, families, and friends to present themselves in a manner befitting the occasion. We ask you kindly to save flowers, balloons, and other gifts until Seniors leave the Liacouras Center.
Students are expected to arrive at the high school properly dressed, with no alterations or additions to the prescribed cap and gown outfit. Graduates will receive their cap and gown after Commencement Rehearsal on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Students with outstanding obligations will not be permitted to participate in the Graduation Ceremony and will not receive their cap and gown or tickets on this date.
Every parent/guardian should be able to hear their child’s name announced. We thank you for your cooperation in this regard. Students may not carry anything with them in the procession. This includes: purses, water bottles, etc. No balloons or other visual obstructions may be brought into the seats at the Liacouras Center.
Students will receive their diploma cover during the ceremony. After the ceremony, students will receive their official Upper Darby High School diploma. The location for diploma pick up is the Loading Dock at Temple University.
